Sleep Buddy is run by Zhengtao Long, operating as ChowChow Labs (Ontario, Canada). Contact: chowchowbuy@gmail.com. By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. Wellness disclaimer
Sleep Buddy is made to help you relax and drift off with calming sounds. It is not a medical device or health product, and it does not diagnose, treat, or cure insomnia or any other sleep, medical or mental health condition. Everyone sleeps differently, and we can't promise it will help you fall asleep. If you have trouble sleeping most nights, wake up feeling unrested, or your sleep is affecting your mood, health or daily life, please talk to your doctor or a mental health professional.
3. Alarms
The wake-up alarm only rings while the website is open in your browser and your device is awake with its sound on. Browsers, power-saving modes and phone lock screens can stop it. Don’t rely on it as your only alarm for anything important.
4. Accounts
- You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure.
- One account per person. Don’t share your account or resell access.
- You can delete your account any time in Account.
5. Free and Premium plans
- The Free plan is free to use, with banner ads. It includes six soundscapes, half of the sounds, one sleep timer and one wake-up alarm with five of the ten tones.
- Premium costs $2.99 CAD / month (plus sales tax where it applies), with no free trial. It unlocks every soundscape, sound and tone, up to 10 sleep timers and 10 alarms, and removes ads. The iPhone app is a separate purchase.
- Premium renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time in Account; you keep Premium, with no ads, until the end of the paid month.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee.
- We may change prices in future. We’ll tell subscribers by email before a new price applies to them.
6. Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to purchases.
7. Sounds
Every sound is generated by the website’s own code; no third-party recordings are used. You may listen to them for personal use. Please don’t record and redistribute them.
8. Fair use
Please don’t scrape or republish the site, try to break or overload it, or get around the Premium features. We may suspend accounts that do.
9. Liability
The site is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for losses from using it, including a missed alarm. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we’ll email subscribers about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
